BEAN
In total, there are 14 types of beans available for consumption. In Brazil, the most commonly used are: carioca, black, string bean, jalo, white, pink, cowpea, speckled bean, and pinto bean. In addition to these, azuki, purple, mung bean, green, and red beans complete the list. The most common dish using this ingredient is the traditional feijoada, which consists of a bean stew with meat, usually served with rice, and which has characterized Brazilian cuisine worldwide for years.
